FIELD TRIP: JOURNEY TO EXPLORE NATURE

On 17th November 2023, first year B Ed students of SVMCTE, Vendar, organized a field trip to Marayoor as a part of the B Ed curriculum. The trip served as an opportunity for the students to interact with different society and to know their culture. The jeep ride, villages, waterfalls jaggery making factory, sandal wood forest, tree house instilled excitement and curiosity in the students. Over all the trip to Marayoor was an enlighting experience that blended education, cultural immersion and environmental awareness creating an unforgettable chapter in the academic pursuit and personal growth.

COMMUNITY LIVING CAMP

From 10th December to 15 th December 2024, we conducted our five days community living camp. The theme of the communityliving camp samadharshana was centered around the idea of building a sense of community and social responsibility among the participants. The camp aimed to foster a sense of connection, cooperation, and mutual understanding among the students, and to encourage them to think critically about social issues and to take action to make a positive impact in their communities. The theme was reflected in the various activities and programs that were organized during the camp, which included team-building exercises, community service projects, and discussions on social issues.

PHASE 2 TEACHING PRACTICE REFLECTION :WEEK 1(25/11/2024- 29/11/24)

As I reflect on the first week of my second phase teaching practice, I am filled with a sense of accomplishment and confidence. I didn't feel tense or nervous, which was a pleasant surprise, and instead, I was able to focus on delivering my lessons and connecting with my students. I've enjoyed getting to know them and tailoring my teaching to meet their diverse needs, and I feel like I've made a positive start in building a supportive and inclusive classroom environment. One of the key takeaways from this week has been the importance of effective lesson planning and delivery. I've learned that with careful planning and preparation, I can create engaging and relevant lessons that cater to the needs of all my students. I've also appreciated the opportunity to observe and learn from my mentor teacher, who has provided valuable guidance and feedback that has helped me to refine my teaching practice. As I reflect on the last week of my teaching practice, I am filled with a mix of emotions - happiness, pride, and a tinge of sadness. I successfully completed 30 days of my second phase teaching practice, and it's hard to believe that this journey has come to an end. I am incredibly proud of the progress my students have made, and I am grateful for the opportunity to have played a role in their learning and growth. But as I prepared to bid farewell to my children and the school, I couldn't help but feel a little sad. I had grown attached to my students, and the thought of leaving them behind was difficult to accept. However, the feedback and love I received from my students made the moment even more special. They shared their thoughts and feelings about my teaching, and it was heartwarming to know that I had made a positive impact on their lives.
